Before we allow Hillary Clinton to be ordained as the Democratic primary winner we may want to consider some facts.
The primary season is about over. Now come the voters. They might decide who goes on to the general election but it will be the result of the caucuses in Washiington State. Yes kiddies your vote does not count in this state. The primary which you would think you, the voter will decide who you want to represent you is nothing more than a million dollar straw poll. Who pays for this poll you ask? YOU AND I. Ouch!
The system in this state allows the party to pick it's candidate, through the caucus system, not the Voters. When I learned this I cried "Foul" but it's just the way it has been set up here. For more information you might try and "Wiki" it.
Enough of my not so educational rant.
Yes the voters will vote, but for the candidates that we are presented with by the power structure.
Hillary Clinton has the support of the Democratic Party leadership and has taken millions of dollars from corporate special interests to fund her national campaign.
Mit Romney has millions of dollars to run a national campaign.
Mike Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, is thinking about running as an
independent. He is reported to be worth 20 billion dollars.
All three can and do have the best chance to buy the presidency. It is a most undemocratic advantage over most Americans.
Maybe someday the people will rise up and rid the system of this corruption and set up a fair system so that anyone qualified will have a chance to be president.
A system that will recognize lobbying as bribery and outlaw the lobbyists and special interests from buying endorsements, media, staff and smothering the political process with millions of dollars. This shuts-out most qualified Americans from running for public office, the system where all candidates have a level playing field to compete.
Public financing only! No private or special interest money allowed. Free and equal media access to let the people know who they are and what policies they will fight for as President.
A system that will give us a President free from indebtedness to corporate interests.
Maybe then such a president can honestly in good conscience represent the best interests of “We the People”.

Ozy,
You're right about yours being a "not so educational rant". But, you've done a great job of taking the side of the big-money special interests that want primaries instead of caucuses... The big money likes primaries because they can be influenced more by big media buys.
You can blame the Washington state Republican Party for the million dollar strawpoll, they are the ones who decided to use a primary to select half their convention delegates.
Washington Democrats have always held precinct caucuses. Try getting your information straight from the source: The 2008 Washington State Democratic Caucus-Convention Cycle.
Democrats should have the right to select their own Presidential candidate. In the general election, "the Voters" will get to decide which candidate they want to vote for, but if they're not Democrats they have no right to say who the Democratic candidate will be.
Here in Washington state, the Democratic Party precinct caucuses are the grassroots starting point for picking a candidate and they are open to anyone who declares themself a Democrat. To participate, all anyone has to do is show up at your precinct caucus.
Democracy isn't a spectator sport, you have to show up if you want to play. The Presidential caucuses are One Saturday afternoon once every four years.
Regarding the Un-Democratic primary process, I was fairly dismayed at finding out that nearly 40% of the delegates to the democratic convention are not even voted for by the states! They are referred to as "super delegates" by the pundits. And who are the delegates? non other than governors, past presidents and a host of the party powerful.
Democracy in action! Let's see, given that these super delegates are uncommitted and may vote however they choose, consider that even a nominal percentage of this 40% block of available votes can override the states votes. This in effect can render null and void the will of the democratic voters!
Democracy in action (NOT) within the Democratic Party! Please see:

Thank you brother NAVTEC. Sis here is finding it hysterically funny to read the stereotypical left rant about candidates who have the where-with-all to pay out of pocket for their campaigns in order to "buy" the Presidency.
Fortunately there are plenty of examples in our political history of cases where such candidates failed to win. Not only when they had personal wealth to burn, but others with the fattest war chests from contributors in a given campaign. Money helps, but it does not ever guarantee a win in our system.
I suggest you focus your concern on George Soros and his insidious funneling of his wealth into various leftwing organizations and Democratic campaigns if you are worried about political conspiracies.
Now there is a man who is a determined communist totally focused on eventually becoming the first unelected, behind the scenes, dictator of this country. The man appears to have bought and paid for every Democrat, Liberal, Socialist politician and group in the nation - lock, stock and barrel.
What is it you did not understand about "Animal Farm," "1984" and "The Gulag Archipelago?" Oh! You probably never studied them and have no idea what I am talking about!
The un-democratic machinations you are complaining about are totally consistent with socialist/communist/totalitarian political systems and how they manipulate and control elections. Right now they operate to control a limited (40%) part of the election. Give them total power over the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches and any small influence your vote has now will be gone.
Don't forget to blame George W. Bush and the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy for the next time you catch a cold or stub your toe.
