There was a news piece on local channels last nights about the death of Chris Sanders of Roswell. The infuriating part of the story was how the media plays up the "he died for democracy, he died defending America, he died for freedom." I am sad for this young man's family, but angered by the repetitive band-aid that our corporate media uses to justify this unnecessary carnage. He did not die for either democracy, freedom, or to defend America. It is all a lie. He was a pawn in a lie, and he died for that lie.
Our government is stocked with rogues, crooks, liars, charlatans. And they are funded by worse, the war profiteers. One can only hope that we will someday see our own version of Nuremberg - God knows it would be justified.
